Cossiga cabinets use R290 natural refrigerant, not older high-GWP refrigerants such as R404A or R134a.
R290 has a global warming potential of just 3.3, compared with 3,922 for R404A and 1,430 for R134a.
The environmental improvement is significant, but the commercial benefit is just as important. R290 refrigeration systems can help reduce energy use compared with older R404A systems, helping lower electricity bills, reduce emissions, and improve lifetime value.
